1986 ਵਿਚ ਜਨਮੇ ਸ਼ਿਵ ਇੰਦਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਨੇ 15 ਸਾਲ ਦੀ ਛੋਟੀ ਉਮਰ ਤੋਂ ਹੀ ਪੰਜਾਬੀ ਦੇ ਨਾਮਵਰ ਅਖਬਾਰਾਂ ਅਜੀਤ, ਟ੍ਰਿਬਿਊਨ, ਦੇਸ਼ ਸੇਵਕ ਤੇ ਨਵਾਂ ਜ਼ਮਾਨਾ ਲਈ ਲਿਖਣਾ ਸ਼ੁਰੂ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਸੀ। ਉਸਨੇ ਪਤਰਕਾਰੀ ਤੇ ਮਾਸ ਕਮਿਊਨੀਕੇਸ਼ਨ ਵਿਚ ਐਮ ਏ ਕੀਤੀ, ਪਰ ਵਿਦਿਆ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤੀ ਦੇ ਸਾਲਾਂ ਦੌਰਾਨ ਵੀ ਉਹ ਲਗਾਤਾਰ ਵੱਖੋ ਵੱਖ ਅਖਬਾਰਾਂ, ਰਿਸਾਲਿਆਂ, ਰੇਡੀਓ ਤੇ ਟੀ ਵੀ ਚੈਨਲਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਜੁੜਿਆ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ।
2010 ਵਿਚ ਉਸਨੇ ਸੂਹੀ ਸਵੇਰ ਦੇ ਨਾਂਅ ਹੇਠ ਵੈਬਸਾਈਟ ਦਾ ਸੰਚਾਲਨ ਸ਼ੁਰੂ ਕੀਤਾ ਜੋ ਪੰਜਾਬੀ ਵਿਚ ਇਸ ਖੇਤਰ ਵਿਚ ਹੋਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਪਹਿਲ ਪਲਕੜੇ ਜਤਨਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਸ਼ੁਮਾਰ ਹੁੰਦੀ ਹੈ। ਹੁਣ ਏਸੇ ਨਾਂ ਹੇਠ ਉਹ ਯੂ ਟਿਊਬ ਚੈਨਲ ਵੀ ਚਲਾ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ। ਪੰਜਾਬੀ ਅਖ਼ਬਾਰਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਲਿਖੇ ਉਸਦੇ ਲੇਖ ਚਰਚਾ ਦਾ ਵਿਸ਼ਾ ਬਣਦੇ ਰਹੇ ਹਨ ਅਤੇ ਮੂਲਵਾਦੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਨਿਸ਼ਾਨੇ ਉੱਤੇ ਰਹੇ ਹਨ | ਇਸ ਤੋਂ ਇਲਾਵਾ ਉਹ ਭਾਰਤ ਦੇ ਪ੍ਰਸਿੱਧ ਖੋਜੀ ਤੇ ਮੁਤਬਾਦਲ ਪੱਤਰਕਾਰੀ ਲਈ ਜਾਣੇ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਮੀਡੀਆ ਅਦਾਰਿਆਂ, `ਦ ਕਾਰਵਾਂ`, `ਨਿਊਜ਼ ਕਲਿੱਕ` ਅਤੇ `ਲਾਈਵ ਮਿੰਟ` ਲਈ 2019 ਤੋਂ ਲਗਾਤਾਰ ਲਿਖ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ।
2017 ਵਿਚ ਅਰੁੰਧਤੀ ਰਾਏ ਦੇ ਜ਼ਿੰਦਾਬਾਦ ਟਰੱਸਟ ਨੇ ਸੂਹੀ ਸਵੇਰ ਮੀਡੀਏ ਦੀ ਲੋਕ ਪੱਖੀ ਪੱਤਰਕਾਰੀ ਨੂੰ ਹੱਲਾਸ਼ੇਰੀ ਦੇਣ ਲਈ ਇਕ ਲੱਖ ਰੁਪਏ ਦੀ ਰਾਸ਼ੀ ਨਾਲ ਨਿਵਾਜਿਆ । ਅਰੁੰਧਤੀ ਰਾਏ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਸੰਚਾਲਿਤ ਇਹ ਟਰੱਸਟ ਹਰ ਸਾਲ ਭਾਰਤ ਦੇ ਲੋਕ -ਪੱਖੀ ਕੰਮ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲੇ 2 ਅਦਾਰਿਆਂ ਦੀ ਸਹਾਇਤਾ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ | ਸੂਹੀ ਸਵੇਰ ਪੰਜਾਬੀ ਮੀਡੀਆ ਅਦਾਰਿਆਂ ਵਿਚੋਂ ਇਕਲੌਤਾ ਹੈ ਜਿਸਨੂੰ ਇਹ ਮਾਣ ਮਿਲਿਆ ਹੈ ।
ਸੂਹੀ ਸਵੇਰ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਪੰਜਾਬੀ ਮੀਡੀਆ ਵਿਚ ਨਿਵੇਕਲੀ ਕਿਸਮ ਦੀ ਲੋਕ ਸਰੋਕਾਰਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਜੁੜੀ ਪੱਤਰਕਾਰੀ ਅਤੇ ਸੱਤਾ ਨੂੰ ਸਵਾਲ ਕਰਦੀਆਂ ਰਿਪੋਰਟਾਂ ਤੇ ਲੇਖ ਛਾਪੇ ਜਾਣ ਦੀ ਸਲਾਹੁਤਾ ਵਜੋਂ, ਸਾਲ 2019 ਵਿਚ ਪੱਤਰਕਾਰੀ ਵਿਚ ਵਿਸ਼ੇਸ਼ ਯੋਗਦਾਨ ਲਈ ਪਹਿਲਾ ਜਗਜੀਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਆਨੰਦ ਪੁਰਸਕਾਰ ਸ਼ਿਵ ਇੰਦਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਨੂੰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਗਿਆ।

Jagjit Singh Anand Memorial Award Winner-2019
Born in 1986, Shiv Inder Singh started writing for the renowned Punjabi newspapers Ajit, Tribune, Desh Sevak and Nawan Zamana from the early age of 15. He has an MA in Journalism and Mass Communication, but throughout his years of education he was constantly and actively associated with various newspapers, magazines, radio and TV channels. In 2010 he started a website called Suhi Saver which is one of the first efforts in Punjabi in this field. These days, he is also running a YouTube channel under this name. His articles written in Punjabi newspapers have been the subject of keen discussion and have often been targeted by the fundamentalists. He has also been regularly contributing to The Caravan, NewsClick and LiveMint since 2019.
In 2017, Zindabad Trust awarded him a cash prize of Rs One lakh. Managed by Arundhati Roy , the Trust supports 2 people oriented organizations in India every year. Suhi Saver is the only Punjabi media outlet to have received this honour.
Deeply appreciative of unique public interest related journalism and publication of investigative reports and articles questioning the anti-people policies of the Government through Suhi Saver, the first Jagjit Singh Anand Award was given to Shiv Inder Singh in the year 2019 for his outstanding contribution in journalism.
